Wichita, Kansas
Gay bar and restaurant on Douglas Ave open daily with karaoke and drag shows
Rain Bistro & Lounge is an LGBT-owned bar and restaurant on East Douglas Avenue in downtown Wichita, the current incarnation of a spot that started as Rain Cafe back in 2009. The kitchen spans a global bar menu, with chicken skewers, pizza, and a much-loved order of fried tacos among the regulars' picks, paired with a full cocktail bar, indoor seating, and an outdoor patio. Beyond the plates, it works as one of the few dedicated queer nightlife spots in the area, with karaoke nights, drag shows, and weekend dancing rounding out the calendar. It's a comfortable, mixed-crowd room, the kind of place where you can sit down to dinner and stay for the show without changing venues.
