Opened on New Year's Eve 2016, XY Bar is Wichita's primary gay dance destination, located in the Old Town entertainment district. The 6,000-square-foot space—named as a nod to the founder's pre-med background—features one of the largest dance floors in the city. The programming is anchored by Sunday evening drag shows at 7 PM and weekly drag bingo. Throughout the rest of the week, the venue hosts karaoke and themed DJ nights spanning house, techno, and Top 40. XY Bar maintains a 21+ policy and is known for its no-cover entry on most nights.
