Roy G's is a rainbow-themed bar and grill on the corner of Cedar Springs and Throckmorton, in the heart of Oak Lawn's gay strip. The name riffs on ROY G. BIV, the rainbow color order, and the kitchen leans comfort: smash-style burgers, loaded cheese fries and other revivals from the family's old Snookie's diner, plus a weekend brunch that tied for Best Brunch in the Dallas Voice 2026 reader awards. Siblings Mariel and Marco Street opened it in 2020 in the former Zephyr Cafe space, bringing the local restaurant pedigree behind Liberty Burger and Street's Fine Chicken. The room is smaller and more laid-back than the big clubs a few doors down, built around a long bar backed by neon and a wall of bottles. Prices stay deliberately low, most plates run under $10, and the drink list leans to color-coded rainbow shots and a frozen blue electric lemonade. It works best as a casual anchor to start or wind down a night on the Strip, somewhere to actually eat and hear yourself talk before the clubs fill up.
