Barcelona, Barcelona
Independent gay sauna near Plaça Catalunya with pool, darkrooms, and a relaxed bear vibe
Independent gay sauna a few steps from Plaça Catalunya — not part of the chain that runs Barcelona's other big saunas, which gives it a smaller, more relaxed feel than the Eixample megasaunas. Inside there's a hydromassage pool, dry and steam saunas, a jacuzzi, private cabins, a darkroom, a bar, and a garden terrace for smoking. The crowd skews mature and bear-friendly, with a notably over-40s regular base. It's a daytime venue, open from morning to evening, which sets it apart from the 24-hour places — handy if you'd rather a relaxed afternoon than an all-night session. The exception is the nude pool parties on the first and third Saturday of the month, which run late into the night. For older and bear-leaning travelers, it's the most comfortable fit in the city's sauna scene.
