Smartbar is the basement nightclub beneath Metro in Wrigleyville, open since 1982 and run as an independent house and techno club. Its Sunday-night party, Queen!, is one of Chicago's longest-running queer dance nights, with resident DJs including Derrick Carter and Michael Serafini spinning house and disco for a mixed, dance-focused crowd. The room is dark, loud, and built for dancing, anchoring the city's underground dance scene for four decades. 21+.
