Budget-friendly gay bathhouse in Little Portugal.
Splash is a gay bathhouse in Toronto's Little Portugal, on Dundas Street West about a 15-minute ride from the Church Street strip. It's the smaller, no-frills, budget-friendly alternative to the bigger downtown houses, with a dry sauna, steam room, cruise areas, private cabins, and a video lounge. It runs cash only, so come prepared; there's an ATM nearby if you don't. The crowd tends older and more low-key than the downtown competition, and the feel is relaxed rather than high-energy. Mondays are, somewhat counterintuitively, the busiest day. If you want a quieter, affordable cruise without the scale or intensity of a 24-hour mega-bathhouse, Splash is the west-end option worth the short trip out.
