Part of the Gay Omaha Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Omaha, Nebraska
British-inspired cocktail bar with all-gender bathrooms and drag brunch
A British-inspired cocktail bar in Omaha's Old Market, housed in the 1885 Windsor Square building. Co-owners David Kerr (from the UK) and Dave Haverkamp renovated the antique-filled space and built a cocktail program around British influences, craft beer, and prosecco on tap. The non-alcoholic mocktail menu is unusually deep. The Tavern made local news for removing gendered bathroom signs and labeling doors by fixture type — Kerr's take: "Neutralizing our bathrooms does not make us a gay bar, it makes us an everyone bar." Monthly drag brunch, Monday karaoke, Wednesday open mic, and Thursday jazz night fill the weekly calendar. Dartboards and board games if you want to stay a while.
