Themed Saturday drag brunch inside Macy's historic dining room
The Walnut Room is the historic seventh-floor restaurant inside Macy's on State Street, opened in 1907 in what was then Marshall Field's and often called the first restaurant located inside a department store. The 17,000-square-foot dining room is known for its rare Circassian walnut paneling, Austrian crystal chandeliers, and its annual Great Tree holiday display. On Saturdays it hosts a themed drag brunch produced by Flip Phone Events, with resident host Lucy Stoole and rotating guest headliners; shows run at 11am and 2pm, and past editions have been built around artists like Dolly Parton and Chappell Roan. Tickets are sold through Flip Phone Events.
