Provincetown, Massachusetts
Adult shop with an antique vibrator history museum.
Toys of Eros is an adult shop on Commercial Street that is as much about education as inventory. The staff are trained as sex educators rather than salespeople, and the wide selection of toys and sensual goods comes with genuinely no-judgment guidance on choosing what is right for you. What sets it apart is the free in-store museum tracing the history of sex toys, a project of anthropologist Maxine Kroll, with pieces ranging from an authentic 1899 vibrator to far older artifacts. It is a real reason to walk in even if you are not buying, and it has been a fixture of P-town's main strip for years. Welcoming, frank, and a little educational in the best way.
