The NYC Dyke March 2026 is the grassroots, no-permit, no-corporate-sponsor protest march that has become one of the most powerful events of Pride weekend, taking to the streets on Saturday, June 27. It begins with a rally at Bryant Park at 5 p.m. before marching down Fifth Avenue to Washington Square Park, a raw and joyful show of visibility by and for lesbian, bisexual, and trans women, non-binary people, and their allies. There are no floats and no corporate banners here, just thousands of people marching for community and liberation in a tradition that has run for more than three decades. The energy is loud, political, and celebratory all at once, and the march intentionally centers the women and trans and gender-nonconforming people who too often get pushed to the margins of mainstream Pride. By the time it reaches Washington Square Park, the protest spirit gives way to a big, communal celebration in the heart of Greenwich Village. A few local tips. The rally gathers at Bryant Park behind the New York Public Library, reachable via the B, D, F, M to 42nd Street-Bryant Park or the 7 to Fifth Avenue. The march is free and needs no registration, so just show up, and consider bringing a sign, comfortable shoes, water, and sun protection for the late-afternoon start. As a no-corporate space, it runs on community donations and mutual care, so look out for one another along the route. For anyone who wants their NYC Pride 2026 with history, politics, and heart alongside the celebration, the Dyke March is essential.
