Fifth Avenue (Manhattan)
Fifth Ave & 26th St, New York, NY 10010The NYC Pride March 2026 is the largest and most iconic Pride march in the world, stepping off Sunday, June 28, at noon and drawing an estimated two to three million spectators along Fifth Avenue. Born from the first Christopher Street Liberation Day March in 1970, one year after the Stonewall Uprising, this is equal parts protest, celebration, and living history, and the centerpiece of NYC Pride 2026 under the theme For All of Us. The march assembles around 26th Street and Fifth Avenue starting mid-morning, heads south down Fifth through the Flatiron District, turns west at 8th Street, and passes the Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street before heading north on Seventh Avenue to disperse near 15th Street in Chelsea. Expect hundreds of contingents, floats, marching bands, and community groups, plus block-party energy spilling out across Greenwich Village and Chelsea long into the night. A few essentials from your local friends. Stake out a spot on Fifth Avenue between 23rd and 14th Streets by 10 a.m. for high-energy viewing with a clear line on every float, or head to Christopher Street near Stonewall for the most emotionally charged stretch, which fills up earliest. Take the subway, since the entire route and the blocks around it are closed to traffic, with 23rd Street or 14th Street-Union Square your best entry points. Bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and a portable charger, wear comfortable shoes, and set a physical meeting point with your group. Then soak it in, because there is nothing else like Pride Sunday in New York.
