Various San Francisco venues
San Francisco, CAThe National Queer Arts Festival 2026, "Magic Mirror," is the LGBTQ+ arts series taking over San Francisco from June 11 through June 30, 2026, with anchor nights you can plan a Pride trip around. Presented by the Queer Cultural Center and now in its 29th year, this is one of the largest LGBTQ+ arts festivals in North America, a multi-venue run spanning the city and the East Bay. Expect performance, music, visual art, and spoken word centering queer artists of color rather than the usual rainbow-flag party circuit. Three June anchors carry the month. "Mirrored Sessions" opens Thursday June 11 at the Palace Theater, 644 Broadway in North Beach. The Emerging Artist Showcase lands Sunday June 21 at Brava Theater, 2781 24th St in the Mission. "The Exhale," a Pride-month closing night, runs Tuesday June 30 at the African American Art and Culture Complex near Civic Center. Tickets go per event through Eventbrite or queerculturalcenter.org, so check times when you book. Getting around is easy on transit. BART drops you at 24th St Mission for Brava and at Powell for the Civic Center and North Beach venues, and Muni Metro fills the gaps, so load a Clipper card and skip parking entirely. Pack layers, because late June fog, the one locals call Karl, rolls in cold after sunset even on a warm afternoon. One real local tip, this is the cerebral, arts-forward side of Pride, so pick one anchor night that matches your taste instead of trying to do the whole series and burning out.
