Are There Lesbian Bars and Safe Spaces in Provincetown?
Provincetown doesn't have a dedicated lesbian bar, but the queer women's scene here is one of the strongest in the country — built around recurring events, dedicated weeks, and spaces that center women and non-binary people.
Queer Women's Spaces
- Womencrafts (376 Commercial St) — Iconic feminist bookstore that's been a cornerstone of Ptown's queer women's community for 50 years; co-hosts literary events and the Cliterary Book Club
- Provincetown Brewing Co. — Has hosted the weekly C U Next Tuesday party run by Babes & Bois (confirm the current venue — the brewery is between locations), the town's primary queer women's/non-binary event production company
- The Crown & Anchor Hotel & Bars — Hosts Les Vixens Sapphic Burlesque and women's dance parties throughout summer
Babes & Bois
The driving force behind Ptown's queer women's nightlife is Babes & Bois, a production company that runs recurring and pop-up events for queer women and non-binary people. They host events during all of the women's themed weeks and run weekly parties in season.
