No-frills bear and cruise bar in Barcelona's Eixample
Bacon Bear Bar is a small, no-frills bear bar on Carrer de Casanova, right in the Gaixample — the gay quarter inside Barcelona's Eixample district. It's a hangout for bears, cubs, otters, and daddies and the men who admire them, run without attitude or a dress code: cozy, masculine, and easy to fall into for a drink and conversation rather than a production. It leans neighborhood-local more than tourist spectacle, which is part of the appeal. There are regular drink promotions through the week and a snack-and-drinks night that gives the place its name, but the real draw is the crowd and the low-key room. For a traveler working through the Gaixample, it's a good first or second stop — warm, unpretentious, and a softer landing than the bigger clubs a few streets over.
