Part of the Gay London Guide — bars, events & things to do.

London, London
Old Compton Street LGBTQ+ brasserie since 1987, open until 6am on weekends.
Balans No.60 has been on Old Compton Street — the center of London's gay scene — since 1987, making it one of Soho's longest-running LGBTQ+ institutions. The all-day brasserie serves breakfast through late-night dining with no dead hours in between, and holds one of London's rare 6am licenses on Friday and Saturday nights. The menu spans modern European comfort food with global touches: full English breakfasts, lobster benedict, rib-eye steaks, crab linguine, and Thai red curry. Pavement seating puts you in the middle of Old Compton Street's people-watching. The restaurant survived a pandemic-era closure and reopened under its original ownership — nearly four decades in, it remains a Soho anchor.
