Columbus, Ohio
LGBTQ+-owned indie bookstore with bar and workshops in Westerville
LGBTQ+-owned independent bookstore in Uptown Westerville, housed in a renovated Victorian Queen Anne home about 15 miles northeast of downtown Columbus. Fifty-one curated sections span fiction, mystery, romance, cookbooks, graphic novels, and a dedicated Pride collection, with a store map to help navigate the bright, mural-lined interior. The recently added ReadMore Bar serves espresso, in-house baked goods, wine by the glass, and Yellow Springs brews on draft — turning a bookshop visit into an afternoon. Five book clubs run regularly (including Dirty Birdie for romance fans), alongside weekly story times, a silent reading club, and a sit-and-write morning. Birdie Books also hosts the annual Westerville Pride Festival in its parking lot each June.
