Part of the Gay Memphis Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Memphis, Tennessee
Black-owned roastery and the Anti-Gentrification Cxffee Club.
Bartholomew Jones and Renata Henderson founded Cxffeeblack in 2019 as a social enterprise built on returning coffee to its African roots and building Black equity in the specialty trade. The Bowen Avenue site, which they run as the Anti-Gentrification Cxffee Club, is a walk-in café rather than roastery-only. Local press has described it as a deliberately no-judgment room, with LGBTQ+, Black and Asian staff behind the counter.
