A compact two-room club just off the main Chueca drag on Calle de las Infantas, El 12 splits its space between a front bar built for talking and a back room built for dancing, chat in one, move in the other. DJs work an accessible mix of pop and electronic, and the calendar leans on weekly drag and resident DJ nights, with rotating art on the walls between. It draws a younger gay crowd and a steady stream of visitors who want somewhere to dance without committing to one of Madrid's warehouse-scale clubs. Things start late and get tight once the room fills, which is the appeal: it's loud, friendly and easy to fall into, and an easy first or last stop on a Chueca night where the bigger venues are only a few streets away.
