El Almacén sits at street level on Florencia, sharing its building with El Taller — the men-only basement bar that's been a Zona Rosa institution for nearly four decades. Historically Almacén was the more mixed counterpart to that legendary downstairs room, and the two still work as a single destination you can move between on one night out. Upstairs runs on drag performances and DJ sets that swing from '80s classics to Latin pop. The crowd skews a touch older — plenty of regulars 35 and up — and the mood is relaxed rather than frantic, a mix of locals and travelers who'd rather talk over their drinks than shout. Drinks are affordable and the cover usually folds in your first one. If the younger, louder rooms down the block aren't your speed, this is the Zona Rosa bar to settle into.
