Part of the Gay Barcelona Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Barcelona, Barcelona
1960s pop-art cocktail bar in Gayxample with gin-and-tonics and Thursday dance shows.
Gingin is a gay cocktail bar on Carrer d'Aribau in the Gaixample, run by the Believe Group — the same team behind Priscilla Café and Believe Club, and active in the neighborhood since 2017. The room plays up a 1960s pop-art camp look, with neon "GIN" lettering and leopard-print panels, and the gin-and-tonic menu is the headline, mixed by the bar's so-called Ginboys. It opens early and works best as a pre-clubbing stop while the rest of the Gaixample warms up. The bar runs regular nights through the week, from dancer shows to bingo and variety showcases, so the energy shifts depending on when you turn up. Axel Hotel sits directly across the street, which makes Gingin an easy first drink for anyone staying nearby or starting a crawl through the gayborhood.
