A no-frills neighborhood gay bar on Edgewater Drive, Hank's has run from the same spot since 1987, which makes it one of the oldest gay bars in Orlando still standing after nearly four decades. The room is exactly what the regulars want it to be: pool tables, a jukebox, video games, a dart board, and a large private patio, with on-site parking that's no small thing on this stretch of town. It serves beer, wine, and soft drinks, cash only, and there's no cover. What keeps Hank's going is the crowd more than any programming, a loyal local following that treats it as a clubhouse rather than a night out. It sits well north of the Milk District scene, so it draws the neighborhood and the people who want a quiet, familiar bar over a loud one.
