Los Angeles, California
Sapphic bar and residency inside East Hollywood's Star Love speakeasy.
Honey's at Star Love is a lesbian- and queer-women-focused bar in East Hollywood, running as a residency inside Star Love, a longtime cocktail spot on N Western Ave. Founders Kate Greenberg, Mo Faulk, and Charlotte Gordon opened it in February 2023 as part of a wave of new sapphic nightlife in LA — and after Ruby Fruit closed in early 2025, it became one of the city's few remaining bars built for queer women. The layout splits the night: a wraparound cocktail bar up front for talking, a back room with a stage and dance floor for everything else. Programming rotates through karaoke, house and DJ sets, comedy, live music, and queer night markets, with most of it landing Thursday through Saturday. It's the rare LA room where the default crowd is sapphic rather than an afterthought — worth crossing town for if that's the night you're after.
