Part of the Gay San Jose Guide — bars, events & things to do.

San Jose, California
Longtime low-key gay bar on Post Street, next to Splash
Mac's Club is a small, longtime gay bar on Post Street downtown, generally cited as San Jose's oldest — a low-key neighborhood room with stiff pours and a back patio rather than a dance floor. It draws a regular, mostly local crowd and works best as the easygoing counterpart to Splash next door: start here for a drink and conversation, then move over when you want music. For travelers, it's a genuine piece of the city's queer history that's still operating day to day.
