Cleveland, Ohio
Ohio's first trans-focused clothing store, with free binders.
Margie's Closet is a nonprofit thrift and resale shop on the Cleveland–Lakewood border, on West 117th Street, founded in 2021 as Ohio's first trans-focused clothing store. Inventory is donated, running from dresses, suits, and a vintage section to binders, gaffs, and wigs, with gender-affirming items and wedding dresses reserved for trans community members and a First Binder Free initiative for anyone who needs one. Founded by Jacob Nash through the Margie's Hope nonprofit, the shop doubles as a resource center: personal styling, pronoun-tagged name badges, and referral lists for queer-allied doctors, lawyers, and other professionals. All profits fund Margie's Hope programs, which makes a visit as much a community stop as a shopping trip.
