Cleveland, Ohio
Neighborhood gay bar on Detroit Avenue in Cleveland's Cudell area
Cocktails is a neighborhood gay bar on Detroit Avenue in Cleveland's Cudell area, in the space formerly known as Rockies. The layout is compact and multi-level: two pool tables and a small performance stage up top, a separate basement bar called Daddy's, plus a back patio for smoking and drinking. It's an unfussy, locals-first room rather than a polished nightclub. Karaoke on Wednesdays and Sundays pulls the biggest crowds, and drag shows run Friday and Saturday nights around midnight. The bar keeps unusually long hours for a gay bar, opening late morning, which makes it one of the few spots on the west side where you can actually grab an afternoon drink. If you're staying west of downtown, this is the anchor.
