Tiny gay-owned Kemptown local with drag five nights a week
Marine Tavern is a tiny, gay-owned pub on Broad Street, the short lane between St James's Street and the seafront. It calls itself possibly Brighton's smallest pub, and it plays like a local: come in alone or with friends and you'll end up chatting with the bar team and whoever's next to you. Drag queens play five nights a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), the pub runs a loyalty card, and dogs get treats, water and blankets in winter. It raises money year-round for local causes including Village Pride Community CIC and Lunch Positive.
