Los Angeles, California
Upscale WeHo cocktail bar with '70s disco glam and coffee by day.
Or Bar is a cocktail bar on the eastern end of West Hollywood's Santa Monica Boulevard with a 1970s French-disco-glam look: mirrored, low-lit, and built around the drinks. The name nods to LGBTQ nightlife history ("or" is French for gold, a wink to the old Gold Coast and Lillian's), and the same space runs as a coffee bar by day before shifting to craft cocktails at night. It's a separate venue from the long-closed O-Bar that once sat a few blocks east. The crowd here is stylish and conversation-friendly rather than a dance scene, better suited to a well-made drink and actual talk than to a big night out. A good landing spot at the quieter, Boystown-adjacent end of the strip, whether you're starting early with coffee or settling in after dark.
