Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Queer women-owned strength and conditioning gym in Wilkinsburg, since 2013.
Pittsburgh FIT is a queer-women-owned, CrossFit-affiliated gym in Wilkinsburg, founded in 2013 by Jodi Butler, a CrossFit Level 2 and USA Weightlifting-certified coach who has built it into a neighborhood fixture over more than a decade. Coached group classes cover kettlebells, weightlifting, gymnastics, HIIT and HYROX training, alongside personal training and eight-week nutrition-coaching blocks. A roughly nineteen-coach staff works with everyone from first-timers to competitive athletes, including members well into their sixties. The facility has changing rooms, showers, a gender-neutral restroom, and private off-street parking. It reads as a welcoming, scalable strength gym rather than an intimidating CrossFit box, and it's a solid landing spot for queer travelers who want to keep training while they're in town.
