One of the oldest gay bars in Le Marais, open since 1987 and sitting at the western gateway to the neighborhood's gay village on Rue de la Verrerie — one block from Hôtel de Ville. The large glass storefront, a design choice from its late-'80s fit-out, makes the crowd visible from the street and gives the bar a see-and-be-seen quality before you even walk in. Happy hour runs from 5 PM to 11 PM daily, with pints affordable by Paris standards. DJs play house and techno on Friday and Saturday nights, and pinball machines in the back are an oddly distinctive touch. The terrace fills early in warmer months, and the crowd — mostly gay men in their 30s and 40s, a mix of Parisians and visitors — spills onto the pavement into the night.
