Granite Falls, Washington
LGBTQ+ owned and operated non-profit campground on 80 Cascade-foothill acres since 1975, mid-April to mid-October
Triangle Recreation Camp, usually just TRC, is a volunteer-run non-profit campground established in 1975 on 80 acres of rainforest along the Mountain Loop Highway, 21 miles east of Granite Falls and about an hour and a half from Seattle. It is LGBTQ+ owned and operated, and membership is limited to LGBTQ+ adults 21 and over; the one exception is a Friends & Family weekend each August that is open to families and straight allies. Nudity is permitted except in areas visible from the public, meaning the highway and the parking lot. The camp opens the second Saturday of April and closes the second Saturday of October. Visitors camp on a limited membership at $22 a night, tent camping only, pre-registered and paid online; regular membership is $195 a year for unlimited camping through the season, with 15 percent off for seniors and disabled members. RV camping is by reservation seven days a week with power on a schedule, and there are seasonal sites. Tent areas are set around communal fire pits with picnic tables under tarps. Day-use passes are sold for events. There are trails, river access and mountain views, free Wi-Fi at the camp hub and its own Camp TRC Radio, and no cell service east of Granite Falls, so download directions before you leave town. The 2026 calendar ran Neon Jungle over Memorial Day, Camp Furwood, Pink Party, Black Forest over the Fourth, White Sands and Dark Desires, a K9 Campout, Friends & Family and Jurasslic Park over Labor Day. Dogs are allowed on a leash at all times.
