Longtime no-attitude WeHo dive bar with billiards and a patio.
Trunks is one of West Hollywood's longest-running no-attitude dive bars, open more than 35 years and proudly low-key on a strip full of flashier rooms. There's a pool table (pulled during COVID and brought back in 2024 after regulars kept asking), sports on the TVs, a small patio, and stiff, affordable well pours all day. It sits mid-Boystown at 8809 Santa Monica, a few doors from the high-energy clubs. The crowd skews regulars and older locals who come to actually talk, shoot pool, and watch the game without a cover or a dress code. If the bigger bars nearby feel like too much, this is the easy alternative, the neighborhood bar the rest of the strip forgot to become.
