Thai-American LGBTQ-owned coffee shop with a zen garden
LGBTQ+-owned coffee shop on Congress Street in Portland's West End, run by Tom Yordprom — a Thai-American who previously operated Siam Grille on Fore Street. Open since around 2010. The Thai background shows up in the menu alongside the coffee: Thai tea lattes sit next to the signature Vietnamese iced coffee, which is the drink most reviewers come for. The space includes an outdoor zen garden — unusual for a Congress Street storefront — and is dog-friendly (Milkbone treats stocked). Breakfast sandwiches and local bakery pastries round out the food. Staff know the regulars' orders before they reach the counter. Listed as LGBTQ+-owned by QLIST and The Francis hotel's Portland business guide.
