Atlanta has drag brunch every weekend at two very different venues. Lips, the drag dinner theater on Buford Highway, serves its Dragalicious Brunch on both Saturday and Sunday at one all-inclusive price. Lore, a two-level bar on Edgewood Avenue, runs a themed drag brunch every Sunday, with the show at 12:30 PM. Monthly brunches in East Atlanta Village and at the Wylie Hotel, plus a few dated ones, fill in the calendar.

This guide covers each one, with times, prices, age rules and booking details as the venues publish them. For the nighttime side of the city's drag scene, see our companion guide to drag shows in Atlanta.

What to know before you go

  • Lips is all-inclusive. Its Dragalicious Brunch is $44.95 per guest, and the venue lists unlimited mimosas or Bloody Marys with it.
  • Book Lips ahead. Reservations go through OpenTable on the Lips website and need a credit card; no-shows are charged $10 per guest.
  • Lore is first come, first served unless you reserve a table. Its themed brunches are ticketed on Shotgun.
  • Check the age rules. Lips seats guests 18+ for brunch, with the full bar 21+. Lore's ticketed brunches are listed as 21+.

Pro Tip

Lips runs brunch on both weekend days, so it is the one to plan around if your dates are fixed. Saturday's brunch is at 1 PM and Sunday's at 12:30 PM, with a different host each day.

Choosing between Lips and Lore

They suit different groups. Lips is a sit-down restaurant show: one fixed price that covers brunch and drinks, queens who also wait your table, and a set start time on both weekend days. It suits birthdays, groups and anyone who wants a reserved table.

Lore is a bar first. The brunch runs on Sundays only, each date has a theme, and tickets for the themed dates cost about $15 rather than an all-inclusive price. It suits a group that wants a bar rather than a set menu.

What to expect at an Atlanta drag brunch

At Lips you arrive at your reserved time, order from the brunch menu and watch a show that runs about two hours; tables have a two-hour limit. At Lore, doors open before the 12:30 PM show; on ticketed dates you buy general admission or reserve a table on Shotgun.

Both venues list their rules plainly: Lips asks for a credit card to hold a booking, and Lore guarantees seats only to reserved tables.

Big weekends

For next year, plan ahead around Atlanta Pride and Atlanta Black Pride, and check Lore's Shotgun page for its next themed brunch.
