While South Florida no longer has a standalone lesbian bar, Wilton Manors has several welcoming spaces for queer women.

Queer Women-Friendly Venues

  • Rosie's Bar & Grill (Wilton Drive) — Mixed LGBTQ+ crowd with a strong queer women following. Great food and a welcoming neighborhood vibe
  • LIT Wilton (2440 Wilton Dr) — Indoor bar with an outdoor patio and a mixed gay/lesbian/queer crowd, on the site of the former New Moon lesbian bar
  • Georgie's Alibi Monkey Bar (Wilton Drive) — Welcoming mixed LGBTQ+ bar and restaurant open since 1997

Community Spaces

  • The Pride Center at Equality Park — Broward County's LGBTQ+ community center hosts programming and events for all identities, including queer women's groups and meetups

The Scene

Wilton Manors' bar scene historically skews toward gay men, but the area is increasingly mixed and welcoming across the spectrum. Rosie's brunch and LIT's mixed nights are the strongest current draws for queer women. Stonewall Pride in June and Wicked Manors in October are major events that draw large queer women crowds.
