Georgie's Alibi opened on Wilton Drive in 1997 and has anchored the Wilton Manors strip ever since, now spread across four connected spaces: the Main Bar, a Sports Bar, the Monkey Bar, and a large open-air patio. George Kessinger founded it, and while it has changed hands a couple of times since (Johnny Pak has run it since 2014), it has kept its all-day, all-comers character. The full-service kitchen won back-to-back "Best Burger in Fort Lauderdale" honors, so it pulls a lunch and brunch crowd as much as a late-night one. The programming runs the gamut: drag, Latin nights, live music, and viewing parties, with two-for-one drinks daily and no cover. Of the cluster of bars on the Drive, this is the one locals treat as a default, easy to walk into solo on a weekday afternoon and busy enough on weekends to start a night from. If you only have time for one stop in Wilton Manors, it's the safest bet.
