The Pride Center at Equality Park is one of Florida's largest LGBTQ+ community centers, the anchor of a 5½-acre campus in Wilton Manors, the small city north of Fort Lauderdale that's among the most densely LGBTQ+ neighborhoods in the country. Founded in 1993, it's far more than a meeting hall: more than 65 groups gather here each month, spanning HIV testing and health services, youth and senior programs, women's and transgender support, recovery, arts, and athletics. The calendar stays full beyond the support side, with the Equality Park After Dark monthly night market, bingo, and wellness programming, and the center serves as a hub for Wilton Manors' Stonewall Pride and the Wicked Manors Halloween street party. With more than 40,000 visitors a year, it functions as the connective tissue of South Florida's queer community: the place to plug in whether you're new to the area, passing through, or looking for services.
