Queer Women·Key West Gay Guide

Are There Lesbian Bars and Safe Spaces in Key West?

While Key West doesn't have an exclusively lesbian bar, the island's LGBTQ+ scene is so integrated that queer women are welcome everywhere. Several venues are especially popular with women, and Womenfest transforms the island into the country's biggest lesbian party every September.

Queer Women-Friendly Venues

  • Bobby's Monkey Bar (900 Simonton St) — Laid-back neighborhood bar with a strong local following and welcoming atmosphere for queer women
  • Aqua Bar and Nightclub (711 Duval St) — Mixed LGBTQ+ crowd with nightly drag shows; especially popular with women during Womenfest and Pride
  • La Te Da (1125 Duval St) — Upscale bar, restaurant, and cabaret that hosts dedicated women's events during Womenfest week
  • Bourbon Street Pub (724 Duval St) — Mixed gay bar with an open garden area; women welcome year-round
