Aqua sits right in the center of Duval Street and is built around the Aquanettes, the house drag troupe that performs nightly. There's a 9 PM show every night plus additional early and late seatings later in the week, so it's the most reliable place on the island to catch a full drag revue rather than a one-off number. On Friday and Saturday the room shifts from showroom to dance club after the late show, with local DJs on house and Top 40. Beyond the main stage there's the open-air SideBar and a separate Back Bar tucked down Tabby Way for cocktails and conversation away from the speakers. The programming runs wide, from Dueling Bartenders to nightly karaoke. It pulls a heavy tourist and bachelorette crowd because of its location, but it's also a genuine after-work hangout for Key West's queer residents and hospitality workers, which keeps it from feeling like a pure tourist stop.
