Bacchus is a second-floor gay bar on Lewers Street in the heart of Waikiki, open since 2013 and built more as a lounge than a club, with a warm wood bar, leather booths, and an outdoor patio that keep the volume at conversation level rather than dance-floor pitch. The kitchen runs light, with artisan pizzas and flatbreads to go with the cocktails. Programming gives the week its shape: Boys in Briefs nights, GAYme Nights built around board and video games, RuPaul's Drag Race viewing parties, and local DJs and drag on weekends. It's earned a reputation as one of the friendliest gay bars on Oahu, and the crowd mixes neighborhood regulars with hotel-district tourists, a good landing spot if you want to actually talk to people on a night out in Waikiki rather than shout over a sound system.
