Part of the Gay Atlanta Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Atlanta, Georgia
Cheshire Bridge go-go bar with bartop dancers since 1995.
Open on Cheshire Bridge Road since 1995, BJ Roosters is best known for the go-go dancers who work the bartops Thursday through Sunday, backed by a DJ in the high-energy main room. There's a back lounge with pool and darts and an outdoor patio, and the pours have a strong reputation. It sits right next to The Heretic, so the two together make Cheshire Bridge a one-stop night. Cheshire Bridge is Atlanta's longtime adult-entertainment corridor, a stretch of clubs and bars that became part of the city's gay nightlife map decades ago, and Roosters is one of its anchors. The crowd is unpretentious and there for the show and the dance floor more than a polished cocktail experience, and weekday nights skip the cover and lean local.
