Toronto, Ontario
Church Street's leather, denim, and fetish cruise bar, since 1997.
The Black Eagle is Toronto's original leather, denim, and fetish cruise bar, open on Church Street since 1997 and the longest-running spot of its kind in the city. The interior is dark and industrial by design, two full bars and a small dance floor below, with a men-only play room upstairs and a rooftop patio with a BBQ grill that opens up in warmer months. It's built for the leather, rubber, and uniform crowd, and the bear community has long claimed it too. Theme nights drive the calendar, from Pup nights to gear and naked nights, and the door stays open daily from mid-afternoon to close. Casual dress is fine, though gear is encouraged on themed evenings. The vibe stays unpretentious and friendly under the industrial edge, the kind of room where newcomers to the scene get welcomed rather than sized up. It's the anchor of leather and fetish nightlife in the Village.
