LGBTQ+-owned specialty food and gift shop in the heart of Osborne Village
Black Market Provisions is an LGBTQ+-owned specialty food and gift shop in Osborne Village, Winnipeg's most walkable, arts-forward neighborhood. Founded by Angela Farkas and Alana Fiks — the couple behind Pop Cart, Winnipeg's cult-favorite popsicle brand — the shop sells house-made prepared foods to go: frozen soups, spreads, salads, and mostly-vegan ice cream. The Thai-Phoon with coconut, candied ginger, and lemongrass is the signature. Alongside the food, the shelves carry curated local producer goods — mustards, sourdough, pantry staples — plus gifts sourced locally and internationally. The tagline says it all: "Good Eats to Go. Cute & Rad Goods." Open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am–5pm; ships Canada-wide.
