Gay bathhouse and sauna on Winnipeg's Main Street, operating since the early 1970s
A gay bathhouse on Main Street in Winnipeg's North End, open since the early 1970s — by most accounts the longest-running gay sauna at a single address in Canada, with more than 50 years on the same block. The single-level, wheelchair-accessible layout includes a hot tub, steam room, dry sauna, private rooms, glory booths, and a video lounge, with safer-sex supplies kept stocked throughout. Weekly theme nights and trial-hour promotions keep a core of regulars coming back, and the crowd tends to run older in the afternoons and younger late on weekend nights. It's a no-frills, long-tenured neighborhood institution rather than a glossy big-city complex — which is much of its appeal for the men who've kept it going for half a century.
