Part of the Gay Barcelona Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Barcelona, Barcelona
Leather-lite neighborhood bar in Gaixample with a bear-friendly crowd.
Boxer Cafe Bar is the bar arm of the Boxer fetish label, a few doors from the brand's Gaixample shop on Diputacio. It's a relaxed cafe-bar rather than a club: coffee and cake by day, cocktails and a terrace by evening, often with shirtless bartenders, pulling a sporty, masculine, bear- and fetish-friendly crowd of locals and travelers. The mood is easy and flirtatious early and leans cruisier as the night goes on, helped along by recurring fetish social nights where leather or underwear is the dress code. It's a good warm-up before the late clubs, or a low-key alternative to them: somewhere you can actually hear the person you're talking to.
