Volunteer-run radical bookshop with queer, anarchist, and Indigenous stock
Camas Books & Infoshop is a volunteer-run, collectively operated radical bookstore that's been on Quadra Street since 2007. The stock covers anarchism, Indigenous rights and decolonization, queer and trans politics, feminism, environmentalism, and DIY — in new and used books, zines, pamphlets, and art. The name references the camas plant historically harvested by the Lekwungen peoples on whose unceded territory the shop sits. Beyond retail, Camas functions as a community space hosting meetings, speakers, and events. They run an annual Mutual Aid Microgrants Project and produce a podcast called Seeds of Revolution. Open daily 10am to 6pm.
