The name translates to "peasant" in Italian, and the kitchen matches that with rustic housemade pastas: the lasagna is the most-requested dish, alongside orecchiette with sausage and squid ink risotto. Half-price wine bottles on Wednesdays and a live piano bar on Friday and Saturday nights (10pm–1am) give the place range beyond a standard dinner spot. The outdoor patio on Piedmont Ave is solid for people-watching. Weekend brunch rounds out the week.
