Merchant City gay bar since 1991, with drag, karaoke or a gameshow every night
Delmonica's is on Virginia Street in the Merchant City. It says it has been at the heart of Glasgow's queer community since 1991, and it bills itself as Glasgow's iconic gay bar. It's known for its handbag cocktails and Stiletto Shots, and there are sharing cocktails and hand-finished pizzas on the menu. If you're coming in a group, you can book a booth. There's something on every night. Monday is Mic Drop karaoke and live vocals from 8pm, Tuesday is the Top or Bottom gameshow, and Wednesday is GAG, the weekly drag show, from 8pm. Thursday brings Quiz-Oke. On Friday there's karaoke from 6pm and a DJ from 9pm. Saturday's BLOW starts at 3pm with live music, drag from 5pm and a DJ until 1am, and Sunday Scandals mixes karaoke, bingo and drag.
