Glasgow, Scotland
LGBTQ+ pub on John Street with all-day food and a show most nights
Woody's is on John Street in the Merchant City, and it calls itself Glasgow's new LGBTQ+ pub. It describes itself as a traditional, happy pub where the community is what makes it a safe space. Pub food is served all day, there's brunch at the weekend and a menu it calls Woody's Afternoon Delight, and live sport is on every day. Most evenings have something on. Tuesday is the Beat The Bar quiz with Ronan, with a £50 prize and karaoke afterwards. Wednesday brings karaoke and comedy with Nicole Caldwell from 8pm, and Thursday is Woody's Rodeo, with country cocktails and country karaoke. On Friday there are live singers from 6pm and then Bella & Tony's Game Show Spectacular at 9pm. Saturday is a gay variety game show hosted by Melisa Kelly, and Sunday has live singers from 4pm and a disco from 6pm. It opens at noon (11am at weekends).
