Gay sauna across the Mersey in New Brighton
The Dolphin is a gay sauna across the Mersey in New Brighton, on the Wirral, rather than in Liverpool itself. Its website bills it as the North West's oldest sauna, "for gay, bi-sexual and the curious", and says New Brighton station is a five-minute walk away, so it's a straightforward Merseyrail trip from the city centre. The site lists a pool, jacuzzi, showers, cabins, lockers with a free towel and a coffee bar with snacks and drinks. Entry is £12, or £10 for students, with no time limit. It's cash only and 18+, and it opens 11am to 8pm every day, with last entry at 7pm. There's free parking outside.
