Private men's retreat on 130 piney-woods acres north of Houston with a lodge, cabins and camping; weekends only
D-Ranch is a private men's retreat for adults 21 and up on 130 acres near Oakhurst in San Jacinto County, in the piney woods about 75 miles north of Houston. Its site describes it as a place where open-minded, free-spirited men gather and make new friends, and says it serves the LGBTQ+ community and allies by hosting special events and private groups. The ranch is currently open weekends only, and its site does not state a clothing policy. Lodging is an 11-room D-Ranch Lodge, the Fire House Lodge that sleeps five, six private cabins, tent sites with power, primitive camping and four 30-amp RV sites for rigs of 25 feet or less. Posted nightly rates are $25 for a primitive tent site and $30 with power, $45 for an RV site, $68 for a lodge queen room for two and $108 for three, $135 for a cabin and $220 for the Fire House Lodge, with a $15 entrance fee per person on camping and cabins. Day passes are $20, and bookings run through Campspot. There is an on-site kitchen, hiking and walking trails and horses on the property. Cabins 2 and 3 are pet friendly. The events page has carried a Trails of Terror Halloween event.
